Adampur, Amritsar record sub-zero temperature
Jalandhar, Feb 12: Adampur airbase, near here and Amritsar recorded sub-zero temperature despite a bright sunny day in Punjab.
According to a defence spokesperson, the minimum temperature recorded at Adampur was minus 0.6 degree Celsius, while in the holy city of Amritsar, the night temperature dropped to minus 1.0 degree.
Halwara airbase near Ludhiana shivered at 1.2 degrees Celsius. In the border town of Pathankot, the minimum temperature plunged to 2.6 degrees Celsius and in Bathinda it was 3.4 degrees.
The minimum temperature registered in the Union Territory of Chandigarh was 7.0 degrees Celsius.
For the next 24 hours, the Met office has predicted fog and mist in the morning and clear weather during the day.
