Two more HM militants killed in Kashmir

Srinagar, Feb 11 (UNI) Two militants of Hizbul Mujahideen (HM) were killed by the security forces in the Kashmir valley today, official sources said.

They said Special Operation Group (SOG) of Jammu and Kashmir police and 29 Rashtriya Rifles (RR) launched a joint operation at Palhalan, Pattan, early this morning following a tip off about the presence of militants there.

During the operation militants opened fire on the search party.

The fire was returned and in the fierce clash two HM militants were killed.

Two AK rifles and other arms and ammunition were recovered from the slain militants identified as Zahoor Ahmad Ganaie and Nazir Ahmad Parray.

About a dozen HM militants, including some top commanders, were killed by the security forces in the Kashmir valley during the past one month.
