Nepal government to implement reservation in all sectors
Kathmandu Feb 11 (UNI) The Nepal government has decided to implement reservation in recruitment to all State establishments, including the army to ensure equitable participation of marginalised communities like Madhesis.
A meeting of the cabinet held at Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala's official residence yesterday decided to ensure proportional participation of the deprived communities in police, army and public enterprises, state-run The Rising Nepal reported.
There will be an arrangement of 45 per cent reservation for endogenous nationalities, Madhesis, women, Dalits, marginalised and backward groups in all the public services, Home minister Krishna Prasad Sitaula said.
