Lathicharge at recruitment drive injures 7 in Bokaro
Bokaro, Feb 11 (UNI) Seven people were injured, three of them seriously, in a police lathicharge on the aspirants at a recruitment drive for the post of constables in Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) in this district of Jharkhand today.
A CISF top official told UNI here that the candidates had formed a serpentine queue since early morning for 72 vacancies in Bihar, Orissa and Jharkhand.
As the day progressed, they became restless which led to a chaotic situation forcing the police to resort to lathicharge.
The three seriously injured were admitted to Bokaro General Hospital while the rest discharged after first aid.
