Amy Winehouse's hubby lied about jail suicide bid

London, Feb 11 : Amy Winehouse's jailed husband Blake Fielder-Civil was bluffing when he said that he attempted suicide in prison, it has been revealed.

During a phone conversation, Fielder-Civil told the 24-year-old singer that he was found unconscious after failing to hang himself in his cell.

Amy sobbed to her friends that her husband, who is currently locked up in London's Pentonville Prison on charges of perverting the course of justice, had tried to commit suicide.

However, they tried to convince the singer that the prison authorities would have informed her if the suicide bid was real.

"Blake told Amy he had hanged himself in his cell. Now it seems it didn't happen and she's asking why he'd tell such an awful lie," The Sun quoted a pal, as saying.

A prison service source said: "We can state 100 per cent that he has not been involved in any suicide attempt."
