Two eunuchs arrested for circumcising a youth

Bareilly, Feb 10 (UNI) Two eunuchs were today arrested and sent to jail on the charge of forcibly circumcising a youth in Qilla area of the city.

Kinnar Guru Meenakshi alias Suresh Bajpayee and another eunuch Asha were arrested when they kidnapped, doped and circumcised a history sheeter, Raju Shamim alias Saheem Khan.

According to prosecution, Raju Shamim was in love with Saroj Kinnar and they were living together as a couple. The bizzare incident took place due to internal rivalry among the eunuchs.

Five people were named in the FIR lodged by the victim, on the basis of which two arrested had been made, the police said.

Meenakshi was earlier arrested on the same charge in 1995 also and the National Security Act (NSA) was slapped against him.
