Pondy DMDK plea to Centre on JIPMER Hospital
Puducherry, Feb 10 (UNI) The DMDK here today urged the Centre not to make the JIPMER Hospital an autonomous institution.
A resolution to this effect was adopted at an office-bearers meeting of the party here today, a party press release said.
Another resolution urged the administration to abolish entrance examination for admissions to professional courses here on the lines of Tamil Nadu.
Resolutions urging the government to construct dwellings for tsunami-affected and thanking the management of a private medical college here for providing 50 per cent seats to the government to fill were among those adopted.
