No polio drops in Kashmir because of snowfall

Srinagar, Feb 10 (UNI) The authorities in the Kashmir valley decided to postpone administration of second dose of Oral Polio Vaccine because of heaviest snowfall in 20 years.

An official spokesman said because of snowfall resulting in closure of the roads, the officials could not reach their destinations with polio drops.

He said now children below five years of age will be administered additional polio drops on February 24 in the valley which is a polio free state.
