Naxal encounter in Chhattisgarh

Kanker, Chhattisgarh, Feb 10 (UNI) A head constable was killed and five police personnel injured in an encounter with naxals in this district today, police said.

Maoists ambushed a patrol party between Koyali Beda Police Station and Antagarh this afternoon. Head Constable Jaysingh Netam died in the firing.

''Additional police personnel are being rushed to the spot,'' Deputy Inspector-General Pawan Dev said.
