Maharashtrians know who is genuine, who is duplicate: Uddhav

Mumbai, Feb 9 (UNI) Targetting indirectly his cousin and Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray, Shiv Sena executive president Uddhav Thackeray today said the people of Maharashtra knew who is real and who is not.

''People know pretty well who is genuine and who is duplicate,'' Uddhav said without naming Raj while addresssing a rally of the airport workers here.

He said the recent violence was an attempt to tarnish the image of the people of Maharashtra and to wean them away from the Sena.

''It is an attempt to divide the people, but they have always been with the Sena and will remain with it,'' he said.

Talking about the modernisation and expansion of the Mumbai Airport, the Sena Executive President said he was not against it but at the same time, wanted to ensure that not a single airport employee loses his job.

''The Reddys, who own GVK, the company which has been assigned the modernisation project of the airport, have talked about giving jobs to one lakh people, but before doing that, he must ensure that no employee at the airport is retrenched,'' he said.
