Law Minister bats for simpler taxation process
Lucknow, Feb 10 (UNI) Union Law Minister Hans Raj Bhardwaj today propogated simpler taxation process to help the common man.
Addressing a seminar of Income Tax Bar Association, Lucknow, Mr Bhardwaj said he had felt in the past few years that filing of income tax return was getting tougher. ''We need processes where the tax payer finds it easier to file his or her returns and is not bogged down by complications,'' he said.
Addressing the gathering, the Minister said people of the country had high hopes from the judiciary. ''It is the personal responsibility of each and everyone present here to ensure that the common man gets immediate justice...a lot depends on the judges and the judiciary today,'' he added.
He claimed that Uttar Prdesh plays an important role in the overall development of the country. ''UP is the heart of India. If UP fails to develop, the entire country suffers.'' UNI NAB SLD KN1916
