Dispense timely justice: Pondy CM

Puducherry,Feb 10(UNI) Chief Minister N Rangasamy today called upon judicial officers to expedite cases and reduce pendency in courts.

Participating at the validictory function of the three day-workshop on 'Technics and tools for enhancing timely justice' at the Pondicherry Engineering College here, Mr Rangasamy stressed on the need for rendering justice in time.

Deferring the pronouncement of judgement may cause apprehension among public whereas timely justice would help improve public faith in judiciary.

He also said Puducherry bagged the 'India Today Award' for the last three sucessive years for proper law and order.
