CBCID Constable fatally knocked down

Kancheepuram, Feb 10 (UNI) A motorcycle-borne constable of the CBCID police was fatally knocked down by a van on the Kelambakkam-Kovalam road in this district, this evening.

Police said Kumaraswamy (54) was proceeding from Kovalam to Guduvancheri when the mishap occurred.

Though the constable was rushed to a private hospital at Kelambakkam, he succumbed to injuries on the way.

The van driver, Raja (30), was arrested.
