Aditya Chopra in direction again with 'Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi'

New Delhi, Feb 10 (UNI) After 'edge-of-the-seat' thrillers like 'Dhoom' and 'Dhoom 2', sports-based films like 'Ta Ra Rum Pum', pathbreaking 'Chak De India', comedies like 'Bunty Aur Babli', 'Salaam Namaste' and 'Jhoom Barabar Jhoom' and a story of a dancing diva's return to her roots 'Aaja Nachle', Yash Raj Films is back to familiar terrain a 'sweet romance with a feel good effect'.

After 'Mohabbatein', a story of an eternal romantic Raj Aryan's winning over the cynicism of a school's headmaster towards love, Aditya Chopra returns to direction with 'Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi'.

The film is a romantic saga in line with the sweet romances from the Yashraj stable like 'Chandni', 'Dilwale Dulhanian Le Jayenge', 'Lamhe', 'Dil To Pagal Hai' and 'Veer Zara'.

Featuring Shah Rukh Khan in the lead, the lucky mascot of the YRF, 'Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi', to be produced by Yash Chopra, will have a new girl opposite him. The hunt for the girl is currently on.

Shooting for the film is scheduled to begin in May and it will release by the end of the year, sources in the YRF said.

On Aditya Chopra's long hiatus as director, after his last directorial venture 'Mohabbattein', the sources said, ''after directing his second film, Mohabbatein in 2000, Aditya had taken a conscious break from direction to set up and develop India's first studio model making Yash Raj Films, a name to reckon with.'' ''In the followed years, the YRF, under the keen eye of Aditya, produced many blockbusters as 'Dhoom', 'Dhoom 2', 'Hum Tum', 'Bunty Aur Babli', 'Salaam Namaste', 'Fanaah' and 'Chak De India',''the sources added.

The sources said while Aditya was the creative producer in all these films, he also kept up with his creative juices by writing stroies for his father Yash Chopra's directorial ventures like 'Veer Zaara' in 2004.
