Mayawati's reservation demand ''impractical'': Muslim Morcha
Lucknow, Feb 9 (UNI) The All India United Muslim Morcha today termed Uttar Pradesh chief minister Mayawati's demand for 50 per cent reservation to dalit Muslims and Christians as ''impractical''.
''Ms Mayawati's demand is just not practical...she can only gain sympathy from the two communities by keeping forward such demands,'' the All India United Muslim Morcha president M A Siddiqui said here.
No political party could progress until it keeps a practical approach, Mr Siddiqui observed.
''The reservation demand could only be fulfilled after a change in the Ninth schedule of the Constitution, which seems next to impossible at present,'' he claimed.
