Man held for ferrying consignment to Sri Lanka
Rameswaram, Tamil Nadu, Feb 9 (UNI) Intelligence sleuths detained a 45-year-old person, who allegedly ferried a consignment to Sri Lanka here this evening.
A senior police official said Sheik was detained based on an information provided by a Sri Lankan Tamil refugee Lumidas, who arrived in a boat at Thangachimadam coast and picked up by the police.
Lumidas, who hails from Jaffna in Sri Lanka, reportedly confessed that Sheik had ferried a consignment to Sri Lanka.
Sheik was being interrogated to ascertain the content of the consignment, the police official added.
