Light drizzle, depression to cause more rains

Kolkata, Feb 09 (UNI) Just when people thought winter was over, down came the rains to cool the city once again.

The city experienced slight rains of 2.5 mm later in the day.

The Alipore Met department said it was drizzling in Bengal, Orissa and Andhra Pradesh following a depression in the Bay of Bengal.

However, the officials said the present temperatures will not be affected much due to the rains.

The minimum temperature recorded was 20 degrees Celsius whereas the maximum was pegged at 23.2 (-6) degrees Celsius.

The maximum humidity was 94 per cent.

The weathermen also forecast heavy rains during the next 24 hours.
