Forty-seven child labourers rescued

Mumbai, Feb 9 (UNI) Forty-seven child labourers were rescued and 13 owners of Jari factory were arrested at Jogeshwari in western suburbs, here.

In a raid conducted yesterday at Jogeshwari slum area, 47 child labourers were rescued from Jari units and 13 owners of the units were arrested, police said.

The rescued children would be sent to Children Welfare Home at Chembur, while owners would be produced in Metropolitan Magistrate court for remand later part of the day, sources said.
