Case registered against ASI over foreign trip
Fatehgarh Sahib, Feb 9 (UNI) Police has registered a case against ASI Karnail Singh of village Bhatto near Amloh town of district Fatehgarh Sahib under sections 171, 181, 182, 420 of the IPC.
The case was registered on the directions of Fatehgarh Sahib SSP, the Amloh IPC, on Sources said that Karnail Singh had earlier lodged complaint with Amloh police satiation about missing of his passport and had got a new passport made.
Later, it was found that Karnail Singh, who was posted in Khanna police district, had gone to Singapore on February 20, 2006 without taking permission of the department.
Joint director prosecution litigation, Ludhiana conducted inquiry in the case and sent report to Khanna SSP. Khanna SSP had written to Fatehgarh Sahib SSP to take action against the ASI after which a case was registered against the ASI.
