14 killed in suicide bomb attack at Pak election rally
Islamabad, Feb 9: At least 14 people were killed and 24 others were injured in a suspected suicide bomb attack at the Awami National Party's elections rally in Pakistan's North West Frontier Province (NWFP).
The blast took place in Charsadda town of NWFP, according to Interior Ministry spokesman Javed Iqbal Cheema. Confirming the incident, Cheema said 14 people were killed and 24 were ounded. However, ANP sources are claiming that at least 30 were killed in the attack. According to Dawn TV, ANP leader Afrasiab Khattak, who was addressing the rally, was safe.
