Status of Mission Mode Projects presented

Chandigarh, Feb 8 (UNI) The current status of the 27 Mission Mode Projects (MMPs) under the National e-Governance Plan designed to bring public services to the doorstep of citizens, was presented in the Conference by Additional Secretary, Ministry of Communication and IT, R Chandrashekhar said here today.

The report presented on the second day of the 11th National Conference on e-Governance, showed that of these 27 MMPs, 2 MMPs namely MCA21 and Pensions have already been completed and are continuously being enhanced based on user feedback.

For example through the pensions portal www.pensionersportal.gov.in, the department not only seeks grievances online but also tracks their dearness relief and pension calculations besides providing facility to buy rail and air tickets online, pay utility bills etc as well as seek their feedback at various services being provided.

It even has a senior citizen's corner aimed at providing details on various aspects concerning them such as healthcare, housing and financial assistance among others, the report said.
