Seven-member gang arrested
Hyderabad, Feb 8 (UNI) The city police today arrested a seven-member dacoity gang in connection with the murder of a 72-year-old man and looting of Rs six lakh from his possession on December 31 last year.
Talking to newspersons here, City Police Commissioner B Prasada Rao said the 19-year old Khalid Misri, grandson of the deceased, had hatched a plan with his friends to commit the offence with a view to steal the cash from his grandfather.
In the night, the gang had gained entry through kitchen window and murdered S M Yousha Ali Mirza and decamped with the amount and a cell phone.
Police recovered the stolen properties, including Rs 4.1 lakh in cash, five cell phones and two-wheelers, from their possession.
