Police dragnet for man sexually harassing students

Alappuzha, Kerala, Feb 8 (UNI) Police have intensifed the search for a person who had lured 16 male students of a local school with offers of acting in television serial and sexually harassed them.

Police filed a case against Biju (40), believed to be hailing from Ernakulam, for sexually harassing 16 students of the Naluchira Government Upper Primary School at Thottappally, south of Alappuzha district.

He had convinced the headmaster and parents of students that he was making a television serial.

Biju had hired a house at Thottappally and brought students there. Later, students complained to their parents of his misbehaviour. They had lodged complaints with the Ambalappuzha police station.

Meanwhile, guardians of students of the school demanded a departmental probe against the headmaster for allowing the accused to select students.
