One killed, 15 injured in road accident
Karur, Feb 8 (UNI) A 50-year-old man was killed on the spot and 15 others were injured when a state-owned bus in which they were travelling rammed into a stationary lorry at Velanchettiyur on the Karur-Dindigul National Highway in this district today.
Police said, the deceased was identified as bus conductor Rathinam. The bus was proceeding to Mettur from Madurai when the accident occurred.
The injured were admitted to Government Headquarters Hospital here, police added.
