Noted light music exponent H K Narayan dead

Bangalore, Feb 8: Noted musician and sugama sangeeta (light music) exponent H K Narayan died after a prolonged illness here this morning.

He was 73. Mr Narayan had worked with All India Radio in Mysore and Bangalore as a music director for about four decades.

He was known for blending traditional and modern music and was also known outside the country for his music concerts.

Mr Narayan was the recipient of several awards including Pampa award. He was the native of Holenarashipur in Hassan district.

The funereal will take place here in the afternoon, family sources said.
