Governor assures security, holds high level meeting

Kohima, Feb 8: Nagaland Governor K Sankaranarayanan convened a high level meeting at the Chumukedima Police Complex yesterday to discuss the law and order situation of Dimapur town.

The security meeting was attended by the Advisor of Governor R S Pandey, Chief Secretary Lalhuma, Commissioner Toshi Aier, Director General of Police J Chankija, GOC 3 Corps Lt Gen. Dadwal, Inspector General of Assam Rifles (IGAR-North)Maj. Gen K S Sethi, Chairman of the Cease-fire Monitoring Groups Lt. Gen (Retd) R V Kulkarni, other senior officials of the State Government and the officials of District administration.

Later, while talking to news persons, the Governor said that the State Government has chalked out certain strategies to rein in all subversive acts that plagued the citizens of Dimapur, especially the business community in recent time. He also assured that full security will be provided in the town so that people of Dimapur can live peacefully.
