Faux pas at PM's programme
Jhabua, Feb 8 (UNI) It's not every day that the premier comes calling! The excitement of having Prime Minister Manmohan Singh himself visiting this district today made local MP Kantilal Bhuria commit two faux pas during his welcome speech. Mr Bhuria designated Dr Singh as ''president,'' Madhya Pradesh Governor Balram Jakhar as ''deputy governor'' and simply forgot to even mention Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan.
Dr Singh laid the foundation stone of two railway lines linking the backward Dhar and Jhabua districts with Gujarat. The 200-km Dahod-Indore via Jhabua line would cost Rs 678 crore while the 152-km Chhota Udepur-Dhar line was expected to cost Rs 608 crore.
