CRPF jawan killed,4 security persons injured in encounter with MCC

Giridih, Feb 08 (UNI) A CRPF jawan was killed and four others were injured in an encounter with the banned Maoist Communist Centre near Madhuban forest adjoining Parasnath Pahar, about 31 km from this district today.

The injured were two police officers and as many jawans.

According to latest information, the encounter began at about 0700 hours and continued for an hour.

''After the security forces were reinforced at the area, another encounter began at about 1500 hours that is still continuing,'' Deputy Commissioner Virender Ram said.

Superintendent of Police M Meena was leading the forces while SP from Hazaribagh also rushed to the spot with reinforcement.

The DC said the encounter was on adding the number of casualty and injured might vary.
