CPI(M) floor leader denies quitting poliics
Hyderabad, Feb 8 (UNI) Communist Party of India(Marxist) Legislature Party Leader Nomula Narasimaiah today denied reports that he was quitting active politics.
Talking to reporters here, he said the reports were ''far from truth and baseless''. ''I joined politics in 1973 and committed to work for the ideals for which the CPI(M) stood under the revolutionary Red flag. Till death, I will continue as an active party member and serve the people'', he said, on an emotional note.
Ahead of the budget session of the dtate Assembly on Februry 11, he said the party would raise ''rampant'' corruption in the implementation of the major irrigation projects and continuing suicide by farmers strugglng to get a remunerative price for their produce.
