BJP manifesto promises development of Tripura
Agartala, Feb 8 (UNI) The BJP today promised to ensure security for the people of Tripura and made commitment to promoting the upliftment of the state at per national standard.
Releasing the party manifesto here, BJP national observer and Tripura election in-charge Harendra Pratap said the party would formulate strategy for the improvement of religious minorities in the state and added that modern education system would be adopted in Madrasas.
He lashed out at the ruling Left Front and Opposition Congress for adopting ''reluctant'' attitude towards administrative failure, and said common people were being deprived of civic amenities and social security.
Mr Pratap alleged that more than 7000 genuine voters' names in nine of the 60 constituencies, including three seats in the capital town, had been deleted from 2008 electoral roll.
He stated that these voters exercised their franchise in 2003 Assembly election.
