Auto drivers protest RTO action

Nashik, Feb 8 (UNI) Autorickshaw drivers and owners here today held demonstrations at the Regional Transport Office (RTO) to protest the RTO drive to check autorickshaws and taxis for ferrying school children without proper government permission.

A protest march was also organised on the occasion. The demonstrations were led by Shramik Sena president Sunil Bagul.

The RTO has undertaken a drive to check autorickshaws and taxis to detect illegal ferrying of school children and illegal fitting of LPG kits. The RTO has been confiscating the permits of the vehicles which were found violating the rules.
