Ashtadhatu idols worth Rs 15 cr seized, 4 held
Barabanki, Feb 8 (UNI) Police today recovered three 'Ashtadhatu' idols, estimated at Rs 15 crore in the international market, and arrested four smugglers here.
On a tip off, police nabbed the accused on Lucknow-Gonda highway, Police Superintendent Praveen Kumar said.
Precious idols of Lord Ram, Laxman and Buddha were seized from the possession of the smugglers.
Besides, a pistol was also seized from them.
The arrested confessed that they had robbed the idols from Hathoiya village five months back.
