Uma hurt in accident
Satna, MP, Feb 7 (UNI) Bharatiya Janashakti Founder-President and former Madhya Pradesh chief minister Uma Bharti was today admitted to the district hospital's intensive care unit after sustaining a head injury in an accident.
''While heading to take part in a programme at Tikuri Aver after addressing a meeting at Khamriya Kotar, she was alighting from a vehicle -- on urging by people -- when the door suddenly closed,'' said BJ District President Mansukh Patel.
The former union minister received first aid at a local private hospital but later complained of giddiness.
BJ workers staged a demonstration outside the district hospital alleging that Ms Bharti was not receiving treatment due to a VIP and that security was lax.
