Three persons arrested for possessing fake foreign currencies
Agartala, Feb 7 (UNI) The Tripura police arrested three persons, including a Bangladeshi national, and seized fake foreign currencies from their possession on the Udaipur-Sabroom road in South Tripura.
Police said here today that a motor bike, suspected fake Euro currency notes worth Rs one million and Brazil currency notes worth Rs 5,000, along with a Bangladesh mobile handset with SIM card was seized from the miscreants' possession yesterday.
All the miscreants were produced before the court yesterday which sent them to three days police remand.
One of the arrested persons was also alleged to be the personal security guard of CPI(M) member of the Tripura Autonomous District Council (ADC) Chandicharan Tripura.
