Three held for possessing fake foreign currencies
Agartala, Feb 7 (UNI) The Tripura police arrested three people, including a Bangladeshi national, and seized fake foreign currencies from their possession on the Udaipur-Sabroom road in South Tripura.
Police here today said a motor bike along with fake euro currency notes worth Rs one million, Brazil currency notes worth Rs 5,000 and a Bangladesh mobile handset with SIM card were seized from the miscreants' possession yesterday.
All the miscreants were produced in a court yesterday, which sent them in three-day police remand.
One of the arrested persons was also alleged to be the personal security guard of CPI(M) member of the Tripura Autonomous District Council (ADC) Chandicharan Tripura.
