Protest in Jabalpur against Raj Thackeray's remark

Jabalpur, Feb 7: A torch procession was taken out by activists of the Uttar Pradesh-Bihar Mahasangh from Malviya Nagar area to Bada Favvara area here last night to protest a comment against north Indians made by Maharashtra Navnirman Sena president Raj Thackeray and attack on them by his supporters.

Mahasangh General Secretary Rajesh Jaiswal said the procession was taken out as part of the phase wise campaign against the attack on north Indians.

He alleged that Mr Thackeray was receiving latent support from the Congress. The Mahasangh sought immediate intervention of the Prime Minister in the episode.

It warned that trains going to Maharashtra from Jabalpur would be stopped if Mr Thackrey was not arrested.
