Nepal newspaper claims kidney scam kingpin arrested
Kathamandu, Feb 7 (UNI) A Nepali newspaper tonight claimed that Dr Amit Kumar, the kingpin in the recently unearthed sensational kidney scam, had been arrested in the Himalayan nation.
The website of the Himalayan Times reported that a special team of the Kathmandu police had arrested an Indian national said to be the main accused in the kidney racket from a jungle resort in southern Nepal close to the Indian border.
It cited police sources as saying they tracked down the Indian national alleged to be Dr Amit Kumar to a jungle resort camp in southern town of Sauraha, about 60 kms away from the Indian border town of Raxaul.
