Minor raped and killed by acquaintance

Hoshiarpur, Feb 7 (UNI) A six-year-old girl was allegedly raped and killed by her father's friend in village Satnaur in Garhshankar district, police today said.

The accused, a migrant youth who had been living with the girl's family allegedly lured the girl into a nearby field and after raping and murdering her, threw the body in a ditch in the field, according to the FIR.

The accused even accompanied the father of the victim to search for the body, after the father found his daughter missing from their hutment.

They found her body in the ditch and it was established that she was first raped and later killed.

Deepak was handed over to the police and a case udner section 302 and 376 of the IPC has been registered against him.
