Legislature Committee for BC quota in pvt sector
Kakinada, Feb 7 (UNI) Chairman of the Andhra Pradesh Legislature Committee on Backward Classes Welfare B Saraiah said the Committee would recommend to the government for an enactment providing for implementation of rule of reservations for BCs in private sector.
Speaking to newsmen here today, after the Committee reviewed the implementation of various BC welfare programmes at a meeting of district officials, the Chairman said many backward class people, working in saloons, laundries and vegetable shops were facing displacement, following the entry of corporates.
To protect the interests of BCs, the Committee would ecommend to the government to take steps for preventing the entry of MNCs into retail trade.
District Collectors were asked to review progress in the implementation of various BC welfare programmes in every three months.
