Lata Mangeshkar inaugurates Pichhwais exhibition
Mumbai, Feb 7 (UNI) The ''In Adoration of Lord Krishna'' exhibition, which showcased antique Pichhwais from the Tapi collection, was inaugurated by singing legend Lata Mangeshkar here today.
''I'm honoured and grateful to inaugurate an unique exhibition that showcases 300-year-old works of art,'' said the singer. She also thanked the owners of the collection, Praful and Shilpa for making the occassion possible.
Business tycoon Mukesh Ambani's wife Nita was the chief guest at the function, also graced by Amit Ambalal and flausist Pandit Hari Prasad Chaurasia.
Pichhwais are devotional cloth hangings made in honour of Lord Krishna.
