Lankan national held with fake passport

Tiruchirapalli, Feb 7: The airport police have arrested a Sri Lankan national for attempting to fly to London via Colombo with a fake passport at the international airport here.

Police said the immigration authorities found the passport of B Rohan (32) fake and handed him over to the local police, who arrested him yesterday.

Police also arrested Abdul Khader (35) of Ramanathapuram, who had come to see off Rohan, while he was waiting outside the airport. Abdul Khader had allegedly helped the Sri Lankan national to get the fake passport, police said. Later both of them were remanded to judicial custody.
