Excise Police seize non-duty paid IML worth Rs 2.50 lakhs

Bangalore, Feb 7 (UNI) Excise wing of the Mysore City Police have seized non-duty paid Indian Made Liquor(IML) worth Rs 2.5 lakh and seized a car used for transportation recently.

However, car driver and other accused escaped under the cover of darkness, according to a release here today.

On getting a credible information, the sleuths laid a trap and succeeded in seizing 864 bottles of IML and the car. The driver and his associate escaped after abandoning the vehicle.

A case has been registered under Sections 32, 34, 38 (A) of Excise Act yesterday.
