Melbourne, Feb 7 : Michael Douglas has signed on to play the lead role in the remake of the Fritz Lang's 1956 classic 'Beyond a Reasonable Doubt.'
According to Variety, Peter Hyams will helm the project, which is scheduled to start shooting in March 3.
Also starring in the movie are Amber Tamblyn, and 'John Tucker' a.k.a Jesse Metcalfe, reports Moviehole.
The story sees a journalist investigate a corrupt district attorney and set himself up as a murder suspect, only for the DA to uncover the plot and incriminate the scribe.
Meanwhile, Douglas has bagged a role in Mark Waters' comedy 'Ghosts of Girlfriends Past.'
