DMK Councillor in land grabbing case

Puducherry, Feb 7: Police today registered cases against three persons, including DMK Councillor Ballery, on charges of land grabbing.

Police said the land grabbing came to light when Karunakaran of the Survey Department at Villianur wanted to construct a building on his plot.

To his dismay, he found some persons had taken possession of his land using forged documents.

Following a complaint with the Special Cell under the District Collectorate, the Collector directed the police to inquire into the charges and register cases following which action was taken.
