Deep Purple to play for Putin's desired successor
Washington, February 7 : Veteran band 'Deep Purple' is set for an indoor concert in honour of Russian President Vladimir Putin's desired successor Dmitry Medvedev.
The British band decided to perform for Medvedev after learning that they were his favourite band.
Medvedev, the chairman of gas giant Gazprom, has asked to stage a show on mark the 15th anniversary of the company's creation, reports Contactmusic.
Putin is also expected to attend the Kremlin show.
Medvedev will bid adieu to Gazprom if he becomes Russian President after Putin, say reports.
