Dead chickens in gunny bags create panic

Perambalur, Feb 7 (UNI) Four gunny bags of decomposed chickens, found on the Tiruchirapalli-Chennai National highway between Naranamangalam and Vijayagopalapuram villages near here today, created panic among the villagers.

Official sources said the passersby, who experienced a foul smell from the bags, informed the nearby villagers. This created panic as they suspected that the dead chickens had been affected by bird flu.

On information, police rushed to the spot and burried them on the road side with the help of the villagers.
