CS to convene meeting of top cops on terror
Bangalore, Feb 7(UNI) Karnataka Chief Secretary Sudhakar Rao today said he will soon convene a meeting of top police officials to draw a road map to tackle the problem of terrorism in the State.
Immediately after taking over the charge from his predecessor P B Mahishi, Mr Rao said programmes would be chalked out at the meeting to check terrorist activities in the State.
All steps would be taken to maintain law and order in the State.
He would also give top priority for overall development of Karnataka.
''The post is full of responsibility and priority will be given to solve people's problems first,'' he added.
The steps would be taken to implement programmes as announced in the Budget and complete projects sanctioned by the Centre.
Stating Deputy Commissioners should tour the respective districts, he said they should also ensure benefits of government's welfare programmes reached the beneficiaries.
Honest efforts would be made to gear up the administrative machinery and maintain transparency, he added.
