CCEA approves Rs.200-crore grant for Fertilizers and Chemicals Travancore Ltd

New Delhi, Feb 7 : The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA) today gave its approval for one-time interim grant of Rs.200 crore as non-plan funds to the Fertilizers and Chemicals Travancore Ltd. (FACT) to enable it to sustain its operations till March 31.

This would help FACT to recover the losses due to inadequate compensation for input costs and fertilizer products.

The CCEA also gave its approval for the transfer of administrative control of Bharat Wagon and Engineering Company Ltd. (BWEL), Patna a subsidiary of Bharat Bhari Udyog Nigam Limited (BBUNL) to the Railway Ministry.
