Attack on North Indians in Mumbai protested
Jabalpur, Feb 7 (UNI) A torch procession was taken out by the activists of the Uttar Pradesh-Bihar Mahasangh from Malviya Nagar area to Bada Favvara area here last night to protest comment against North Indians made by Maharashtra Navnirman Sena President Raj Thakre and attack on them by his supporters.
Mahasangh General Secretary Rajesh Jaiswal said the torch procession was taken out as a part of phasewise campaign as a protest against the attack on North Indians.
He alleged that Mr Thakre was receiving hidden support from the Congress. The Mahasangh sought immediate intervention by the Prime Minister.
It warned that trains going to Maharashtra from Jabalpur would be stopped if Mr Thakre was not arrested.
