Asian Paints launches 'Colour Next 2008'

Mumbai, Feb 7: Asian Paints launched ''Colour Next 2008'', its research-based annual trend forecasting initiative, for the home and decor space here at Grand Hyatt.

A collection of five inspiring themes that will dominate home decor this year was presented to a gathering of country's leading architects, interior designers and other key influencers in the design space at the launch last night. The five themes include blush, techno, synergy, refine and revive. Each theme has two to three key forecast that represent the theme in its essence, thus there are 12 forecast colours for the year across five decor themes. In addition to the forecast colour, each theme has balanced palette of colours which helps create a decor.

Speaking to reporters, Asian Paints GM Marketing Amit Syngle said, ''We have forecast a fine collection of five distinct themes which symbolise the socio-economic changes that we see around today, for instance blush celebrates the new age feminine spirit may it be in soft flowing lines and contours or the fresh vibrant palette emerging out of floral patterns.'' The trend collection was unveiled by Soha Ali Khan, Arzan Khambatta talked about the theme-refine, Sabina Singh about blush, Divya Thakur about revive, Cory Walia about synergy and Krsna Mehta about techno, while Isha Sharvani brought alive each theme through her dance.
